Recently, Decanter Magazine’s World Wine Awards presented Bodvár No. 5 with the esteemed Gold Prize and in April, Bodvár No. 1 received the Silver Prize at THE Rose Competition 2018, part of the American Fine Wine Competition.
Swedish-born, Bodvar Hafström is part of the Grönstedt and Hafström families, with business traditions within the beverage and tobacco industries dating back to the 1800s. Throughout his life, Bodvár has been fascinated with style, luxury, travel and wine. His family founded the legendary Grönstedts Cognac in 1846, which today remains one of the most prestigious brands in the world. As a tribute to Johan Daniel Grönstedt, who had a weakness for French beverages, Grönstedts released a classic Champagne bearing the family’s name. Another branch of the family tree holds the Lindqvist family, importers of exclusive wines that began in the 19th century. Bodvar’s great-great-grandfather also started one of the largest premium cigar brands the Hafströms of Sweden.
